I spent yesterday at the Better Homes and Gardens Real Estate Wilkins & Associates office in Stroudsburg, PA. They told me it was a typical day in the office, but what does a typical day in a real estate office look like these days?

If you based your answer on what you hear in the media about the economy and housing market you might think a typical day in a local real estate office is quiet, to say the least. That was not what I witnessed yesterday.

It’s no secret that our industry doesn’t score high marks for customer service or trustworthiness. We are usually ranked on the bottom half of the scale, alongside used car salespeople and mechanics!

To see how one small change, or even one degree, can make a huge difference watch this video.  Then challenge yourself and those around you to commit to making small changes that will result in changing the public’s perception of today’s and tomorrow’s real estate professionals.

Social Media
With numbers like these, is it any wonder that agents are trying to promote themselves and their listings on these social media sites? We learned recently that some of these sites may not be as open to the advances of today’s modern Realtors as we once assumed (see Inman News-Future of Real Estate Blog). Well, to be fair Facebook will gladly let you advertise your listings as long as you pay!
