REALTOR® University Scholarship Opportunities for BHGRE Members!


Calling all members of our Better Homes and Gardens® Real Estate community! If you’re looking to further your education in real estate, BHGRE® wants to help you get your Master of Real Estate graduate degree at REALTOR® University!

For the first time, BHGRE is offering two $9,000 scholarships for 2014 (paid out at up to $800 per course until the scholarship has been exhausted) – and they are only available to agents and brokers in our BHGRE network. Now is the time to take advantage of this incredible opportunity!

What is the Program?
The Master of Real Estate graduate degree is a 12-course program, including seven core classes (in business and real estate) and five concentration courses in the following areas:

  • Asset and Property Management
  • Residential Sales, Marketing and Management
  • Appraisal and Valuation Services
  • Commercial Investment and Analysis
  • Real Estate Association Management

Some students might be required to take additional business core courses. All courses are eight weeks long and are offered up to six times throughout the year.

What are the scholarship requirements?
To qualify for the scholarship, all graduate students must meet the following criteria:

  • Be members of the BHGRE network
  • Accepted into the graduate program
  • Have three letters of recommendation, preferably from employers, ex-teachers and advisors (cannot include family)
  • Applicants may also be required to meet additional criteria

And have submitted:

  • A copy of your official undergraduate transcript
  • A current resume
  • A 500-word essay answering the question: “How do you believe a REALTOR® University graduate degree will help you succeed and meet your career goals?”

In order to receive the scholarship, you must enroll within the next two sessions following the date of the offer or it will be rescinded. You must maintain continuous enrollment each semester until completion, and remain in good financial and academic standing (3.0 GPA and above) to retain scholarship eligibility.

At this time, REALTOR® University’s Graduate School of Real Estate cannot accept applications from residents of: AL, AR, DC, GA, IN, KS, MN, MO, NE, NM, ND, OK, OR, RI, SD, UT, WA, WV, WY.
