Tell a story and keep it simple. In today’s hectic marketing bazaar, it is easy to be seduced by the latest social media bells and whistles or geo-location mobile ads, among many other advertising modernisms. If you follow the mantra of the late Steve Jobs, who has been referred to as a genius marketer, you will keep your campaign simple. His rule of thumb relates very well to the real estate industry: “tell the story of how an amazing product can change your life in the best environment possible,” Advertising Age reports.  In fact, the industry is reinforcing the importance of telling a storyin an ad. What’s your tale?

Qu’est-ce dire? If you are catering to a community that speaks many languages, a new tool will help your clients read your Facebook page. Sweetening the pie… Zillow announced Zillow Special Offers, “a service that allows agents to promote incentives for working with them in a home-sale transaction,” Inman News reports. The seller-funded incentives offer buyers perks, like discounts on closing costs or discounts at a home appliance store.

In another interesting application of technology in real estate, a broker in Miami is the first to use Social Property Search, an application that allows users to crowd source their home buying process.  More specifically, users can select three properties for their Facebook friends to vote on or they can invite their friends to discuss one listing in real-time.
